Personal — What’s coming next?

I’m back.

My ever growing laundry list of things I gotta write about:

1. We’re definitely too early on this thing…right?
2. Meta is King
3. Meta Sucks
4. I’ve neglected crypto for too long now. Gotta remember my roots. Enjin is coming…
5. NVIDIA will save the world — Omniverse is literally the future (shout out Ben 10)
6. Digital Twins are the best part of the metaverse and its not even close
7. AI in the metaverse — I don’t have a clue…for now
8. Interoperability — A real technical solution for this. Trying t do research into how assets can be converted and transferred across different environments. This is a big undertaking, but I’d LOVE to dedicate the next year or 2 to just figuring this out.
9. Apple vs Meta — This might be the next big rivalry in tech. Apple’s planning to announce their new VR/AR(?) device/software (I heard about this on a podcast). I think I expected this. Centralized tech will win in the metaverse, and when it comes to hardware, its really hard to not bet on Apple. From design to functionality, they are simply the best (Samsung fans can screw off. If they can blow up a phone battery, they can blow up a headset). Apple’s about to sweep.
10. Netflix vs Disney — Disney definitely wins, but let the content war begin
11. I’m starting to get obsessed with Machine Learning again and the potential utility of it as a piece of infrastructure for the metaverse (shout out to “The High ROI Data Scientist”). Like with a lot of developing tech, it may not be advanced enough to fit the perfect use case, but its good enough that we can just start throwing it at problems and see what sticks.
12. Microsoft is interesting
13. The internet’s outdated. It wasn’t built to support real time interactions. Its a suped up file cabinet. Subspace really said “Fine. I’ll do it myself”

Anyone who read this far actually cares about what I have to say. For that kind of loyalty, I want you to know that I appreciate you. You are a special kind of person and I think what I have below really encapsulates how I feel about each and every one of you.
